Yorkshire Yoga & Walking Weekends came about when Heather, Cheryl (yoga instructor) and Lynda (our wonderful chef!) came together and thought what a great idea it would be to put all our skills and experience together and start running yoga, walking and massage retreats.  We then found a wonderful large cottage on the Yorkshire Coast in the village of Staintondale, and our first weekend was born! The weekends consist of two guided walks around the area, one either to Raven Hall Hotel or another local hotel/coffee shop, where we usually stop for afternoon tea.  We will often do yoga on the cliff top or in the woods by the river.  During the walks there is plenty of time for taking in the scenery, getting to know new friends and switching off from the stresses of modern life. Cheryl offers approximately 6 hours of yoga and guided relaxations throughout the weekend, and Heather is able to offer up to 6 massages which can be booked when you book the weekend. Lynda cooks all the wonderful vegetarian food, and any special dietary needs can be catered for.

Our next weekends are June 28th to 30th 2019, and 4th to 6th October 2019. There are a maximum of 11 places on the weekends, 6 of which can do the yoga.  Therefore if you opt to not do yoga, the price is slightly less – the price for two evenings is £200 including the yoga, or £175 without.  To stay the Sunday night also it is an extra £40 for dinner, bed and breakfast.  There will be a slight price increase for the June weekend.

Heather is an IFPA qualified aromatherapist offering massages, and also organises and leads the walks during the weekend.

Cheryl Greaves

Cheryl is our Dru Yoga Instructor, who offers yoga and relaxation sessions throughout the weekend.

Lynda Huckvale

Lynda is our chef extraordinaire!  She prepares all our wonderful vegetarian food… with lots of treats too!  The delicious brownies go down a treat with a cuppa after a good walk!
