She qualified with a distinction and is accredited through the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists.
Since then Heather has gone on:
- to qualify as an infant massage instructor

- has a DipHe in Antenatal Education, ratified by the University of Bedfordshire
- she recently qualified in reiki and yoga in pregnancy
- She also has a PG Cert in Leadership through Northumbria University
You can experience and share Heather’s passion & skills as an aromatherapist in several ways. She provides aromatherapy massage in Hull, and the surrounding East Yorkshire area, as well other massage therapies. She also runs her popular aromatherapy courses so you can learn how to use aromatherapy at home. Her pregnancy massages are also in demand.
She was instrumental in setting up the Goodwin Volunteer Doula Project in Hull and was the project manager for 5 years. She lead the team which trained volunteers to support women, who had none or very little other support through pregnancy and birth. In this time the service developed from a small local service for women in one area of Hull, to a thriving city wide provision before securing funding from the NHS to roll the service out to other areas of the country. They were also awarded the All Party Parliamentary Group award in Maternity Services in 2009, which was a huge tribute to the staff, volunteers and families involved in the service.
In 2011, in conjunction with a friend, Heather also set up the Hull & East Yorkshire Home Birth Group. The group meets monthly, offering support and advice to other parents seeking to birth their baby at home. She believes that this peer support is vital to ensure that women understand their rights, and develop the confidence to give birth in a natural and relaxed environment.
Heather is also a trustee for the charity Bundles of Joy, which supports families it times of need across Hull and the East Riding, with donates of clothes, equipment and toys.
Heather is an educator, a catalyst and a healer and has a gift for healing through touch and supporting others. She has a fundamental conviction relating to the importance of supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and on through the transitions of life. She is also passionate about healing and caring for the body through nutrition, spending time breathing deeply in nature and with friends and family. Heather has a beautiful 12 year old daughter, who she says has been her greatest teacher and inspiration.
